Gold Tone is now offering a carbon graphite neck for $395.00. It gives amazing clarity all up and down the range of the neck. It is quite slim and fast, feels very comfortable, and sounds good. The tonal quality of this kind of neck is not unlike a good walnut neck.

One of the chief advantages of the carbon graphite neck is that it is virtually impervious to changes in humidity. Another is that it is reasonably rigid. It is definitely not going to warp.

I will be adding more comments later, when I have had a chance to really test this neck thoroughly.
